Ahmedabad: An 18-year-old woman from the western part of the city was reunited with her family after leaving home following an argument on Friday. Officials from the Abhayam 181 women’s helpline said the college student lives with her parents and grandparents. On Friday, she argued with her parents over her studies after they told her she was getting distracted by various activities and social media, and asked her to focus.According to a counsellor, the woman left home with her college bag after the scolding. She bought an AMTS day pass, spent the day travelling around the city, and later went to a temple. At around 11pm, temple caretakers became suspicious and questioned her. When she said she had no one, they contacted the helpline.The woman later shared her father’s contact details with the counsellors and police. They then reached out to her family, who had been worried about her safety and had already contacted relatives and friends to trace her.
