Kolkata: West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) and West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) got new presidents on Tuesday. Lalu Das, the dean and faculty of Bidhan Chandra Krishi Vishwavidyalaya appointed as the president of WBBSE. Asit Kumar Mandal, who is also another dean of Bidhan Chandra Krishi Vishwavidyalaya appointed the president of WBCHSE. The previous functionaries of both the academic bodies had to resign immediately after BJP the govt came to power. Since then, these positions were vacant. The board for running WBBSE functions with 12 members is also being formed.
