Ace Designers opens Ahmedabad plant, targets 4,000 machines annually

Ahmedabad: Ace Designers Limited, the flagship company of the Ace Micromatic Group, a consortium of Indian firms focused on the manufacturing, marketing, and servicing of precision metalworking machine tools, has inaugurated a new assembly facility in Ahmedabad with an investment of Rs 50 crore.The new facility has been designed to reach an annual production capacity of about 3,000 turning machines and 1,000 machining centres over the next five years. The company said the plant will focus on localization by developing regional vendors and building a skilled workforce. T K Ramesh, MD of the company, said the Gujarat plant would help the company stay closer to industrial hubs and customers, enabling “faster response times.” Joint managing director Bill Shukla said the unit was built as a next-generation manufacturing facility using advanced processes and digital technologies.Ace Designers expects annual turnover to exceed Rs 2,800 crore in FY26. The company currently has capacity to manufacture 8,000 turning centres and 3,400 machining centres annually, with exports spanning Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas.
