Ahmedabad: Close to 200 senior executives from 62 Hydrogen Council member companies and Indian industry players participated in the Kandla Forum 2026, aimed at converting Kandla’s green hydrogen and clean-fuel potential into investments, technology partnerships and projects.Organised by Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) under the theme “Anchoring Maritime Decarbonisation”, the forum brought together stakeholders from hydrogen, clean energy, shipping, shipbuilding, engineering, technology and finance sectors.The forum sought to facilitate direct engagement between global technology providers, developers, manufacturers, offtakers and DPA leadership to accelerate the development of a green-fuel and maritime decarbonisation ecosystem at Kandla.DPA has a 1 MW green hydrogen plant in operation, with further green hydrogen facilities under development. The Port has also completed India’s first methanol bunkering trial, while land, power and water are being positioned to support green hydrogen and derivative production. Kandla is also an anchor port in India–Europe green shipping corridor studies.
