Udaipur: Pratapgarh police initiated proceedings to freeze property worth around Rs 2.50 crore linked to a drug trafficker under Operation Trinetra.District SP B Aditya said action was taken against Jamshed Khan alias Seth Lala, a resident of Devaldi village under Arnod police station, who was allegedly involved in narcotics trade for a long time. He said the action was a stern warning to drug traffickers that property acquired through crime would no longer remain safe.According to officials, Khan constructed a lavish house in Devaldi using proceeds from drug trafficking, with its current market value estimated at ₹2.5 crore.The move follows a March 30 raid by Pipploda police in Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh, where a poultry farm in Borkheda was raided. During the raid, officials seized 200 grams of MD drugs, 900 grams of precursor chemical powder, over 140 kg of chemical-filled cans, 35.6 kg of HCL, and equipment used for manufacturing synthetic drugs. Four accused, including Khan, were arrested.Investigations revealed Khan was involved in trafficking MD, brown sugar and doda chura. Police said he had no legitimate source of income or ancestral land but amassed assets worth crores within a short span. He faces eight cases under the NDPS Act and other sections across Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, and is wanted in several cases.
