Lucknow: The academic session in several colleges affiliated with Lucknow University (LU) has already been delayed by nearly two months.The delay may increase further as LU has extended the deadline for obtaining the Lucknow University Registration Number (LURN) till Oct 10, with affiliated colleges continuing admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the 2026-27 academic session.“LU’s admission process for first-year undergraduate and postgraduate courses continued till August. Several students turn to affiliated colleges after failing to secure admission in the university. As a result, many colleges still have vacant seats and are continuing their admission process,” said Manoj Pandey, president of the Lucknow University Affiliated Colleges Teachers’ Association (LUACTA).LURN is mandatory for students seeking admission to colleges affiliated with Lucknow University.
