Kolkata: Bengal has secured first position in the Centre’s Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027 Quiz, a selection pathway for the 30th National Youth Festival in New Delhi in Jan 2027, where top participants will present their vision to the Prime Minister.Against a target of 1,09,300, Bengal achieved participation of 3,11,802—285.3% of its target — among 1.4 crore youth who participated nationally. NSS volunteers and college students drove the state’s performance.Tripura ranked second at 205.8% of target, followed by Assam (186.9%), Jammu & Kashmir (179.4%), Bihar (175.6%), Kerala (158.4%), Chhattisgarh (157.4%), Madhya Pradesh (153.6%), Haryana (147.8%), and Himachal Pradesh (145.4%).
