Mumbai: Actor Dino Morea was questioned by the officers of city Economic Offences Wing (EOW) for six hours on Friday in connection with the investigation into a Rs 65.5 crore Mithi river desilting scam.Morea had been questioned twice in 2025.Dino’s brother, Santino Rocco Morea, and Punita Kadam, wife of desilting scam case accused Ketan Kadam, were directors in UBO Ridez Pvt Ltd. Santino was also questioned by EOW last year. Ketan Kadam is associated with Vodar India. Both UBO Ridez and Vodar India operated from the same address in Worli.On March 20, 2024, EOW constituted a special investigation team (SIT) to probe allegations that the accused persons, contractors, middlemen and several BMC officials connived and caused a loss of Rs 65.5 crore to the civic body by not desilting Mithi river, submitting fake bills and getting them cleared.“After questioning, he has been allowed to go. As per the need and requirement, he may be called again for further questioning and processes as per law,” said Rajesh Pradhan, joint CP (EOW), in a message.
