Ahmedabad: As many as 2,742 seats in undergraduate ayurveda and homeopathy courses remain vacant in Gujarat after the completion of Round 1 reporting for BAMS and BHMS admissions for the academic year 2026-27.The reporting process for the first round was conducted from Sept 23 to Oct 1. According to the admission committee, 828 state quota BAMS seats remained vacant, including 147 seats that were not allotted and 681 seats where candidates were allotted seats but did not report.The situation was more pronounced in homeopathy. A total of 1,914 state quota BHMS seats remained vacant, comprising 972 non-allotted seats and 942 seats where allotted candidates did not report.Together, 1,119 state quota seats in BAMS and BHMS were not allotted, while 1,623 allotted seats remained vacant because candidates did not report, taking the total state quota vacancies to 2,742.The committee also released vacancy figures for 15% SFI-AIQ seats. In this category, 88 BAMS seats remained vacant, all due to non-reporting candidates. For BHMS, 396 seats remained vacant, including 337 non-allotted seats and 59 non-reported seats.
