Ghaziabad: Police have registered an FIR against two men in connection with the suicide of a nursing student, who allegedly jumped to her death from a flyover in Siddharth Vihar.The 22-year-old was a first-year nursing student at a private university in Greater Noida and lived with her parents and younger sister in Pratap Vihar, Vijay Nagar. On Wednesday, she allegedly died by suicide after jumping from a flyover near CSHP Public School in Siddharth Vihar. So far, a reason for the alleged suicide has not been determined.The student’s father filed a police complaint alleging that, around 11am on Wednesday, he received a call from his daughter’s ex-boyfriend Suraj, who told him that she had come to see him. When the complainant tried to get in touch with his daughter, however, she did not respond. Hours later, around 1pm, he was told that his daughter had been brought to a hospital after jumping from a flyover, but she had died by the time he got there.His daughter had allegedly recently reconnected with Suraj, and the two had been talking on the phone regularly. The student’s father suspects he may have been involved in her death. The complainant has also alleged that the woman had been talking to a friend, Gaurav, who may also be involved. “I suspect that my daughter was instigated to commit suicide by Suraj and Gaurav,” the complainant said.Police have not found a connection between the two men so far. ACP Ziauddin Ahmad said that an FIR has been registered against Suraj and Gaurav under BNS Section 108 (abetment of suicide), and teams have been formed to investigate.
