Ludhiana: A group of around eight to 10 armed men allegedly barged into a house in Kothe Ath Chak village near Jagraon late Wednesday night and attacked two brothers with swords, leaving them seriously injured.Sources said the attackers allegedly scaled the boundary wall to enter the house, where they attacked Satnam Singh and Hanman Singh while they were sleeping. The injured siblings were rushed to the govt hospital in Jagraon, from where doctors referred them to Civil Hospital in Ludhiana after providing first aid.A police officer at Jagraon City police station said police were examining CCTV footage. He added that further action would be taken after the statements of the injured were recorded.Police said a preliminary inquiry indicated that the two sides had a grudge over an argument that broke out during a religious event earlier. They added that police suspect the attack was linked to the dispute.
