Jaipur: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Thursday arrested an assistant sub-inspector posted at Sanganer Sadar police station for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.The accused, Mahesh Chand Meena, allegedly demanded Rs 20,000 from a complainant to release a seized pickup truck and not name the complainant’s maternal uncle as an accused in a case.According to the ACB, Meena, who was the investigating officer in the case, later agreed to accept Rs 10,000 after the complainant submitted compromise documents.On Thursday, Meena allegedly accepted Rs 10,000 from the complainant after receiving the compromise documents and questioning the other complainant. He allegedly put the cash in his jeans pocket.ACB officials recovered the marked notes from Meena on the spot. Further proceedings are underway.
