Lucknow: Post-mortem examinations of a govt school principal and his wife, found murdered on a private school campus in Sultanpur’s Kadipur area, have shown the couple sustained 22 injuries, including multiple deep cuts to the head, face and neck, police said Wednesday.The victims were identified as Mukesh Singh (45) and his wife Vinita Singh (43).According to the autopsy report, Mukesh had 10 injuries, including deep wounds between the eyebrows and on the nose and ears. One injury near the left ear involved a bone fracture, while another near the right ear exposed bone. Doctors recorded multiple deep cuts on his neck, including a long gash across the front. Internal examination noted punctures to the larynx and windpipe and congestion in both lungs.Vinita suffered 12 injuries, including wounds on the scalp, face and neck. One head injury fractured the skull. The report also cited several cuts around the neck, extensive facial trauma, multiple skull fractures and bleeding in tissues around the mouth and throat. Doctors said she died due to excessive blood loss and shock from ante-mortem injuries, leading to cardiac arrest.Police said they recovered blood-stained agricultural tools and other sharp-edged implements from the scene, suspecting locally available weapons were used.Tension rose Wednesday as family members protested near Dhopap Ghat bridge, placing the bodies near Raibigo village and blocking the Kadipur-Dhopap road for nearly two hours. Police said a property dispute is a suspected motive. Eight people have been detained; no arrests were announced.
