Lucknow: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday distributed study tables to over one lakh children enrolled in govt schools in Devipatan division under govt’s ‘Shiksha Ki Udaan’ campaign.The children, mostly from rural backgrounds, expressed their joy through handwritten letters, colourful drawings and creative posters, thanking the CM for providing them with dedicated spaces to study at home.Many students decorated their letters with flowers; some drew pictures of their new study tables, while others drew portraits of the CM alongside messages such as ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ and ‘Sab Padhein-Sab Badhein’.Swati, one of the beneficiaries, wrote that she was grateful for receiving a study table and study materials. She said she regularly uses the table to do her academic work.Class 6 student Saba described how the table transformed her study routine. Thanking the chief minister, she wrote that studying at home had earlier been uncomfortable and inconvenient. With the new table, she can now study more comfortably and for longer periods. In an innocent yet touching remark, she noted that her back no longer hurts while studying.Similarly, Class 7 student Nuzhat Fatima prepared a ‘Gratitude Letter’ on blue chart paper, stating that the study table had created a positive learning environment and enhanced her interest in studies. The table helped her focus better on homework and revision.Divisional commissioner, Devipatan division, Durga Shakti Nagpal said the campaign achieved its target of distributing one lakh study tables across Bahraich, Gonda, Balrampur and Shravasti districts. Bahraich received the highest number at 34,260 tables, followed by Gonda with 27,650, Balrampur with 26,984 and Shravasti with 11,106.“The initiative is aimed at promoting disciplined study habits and academic excellence among govt school students. Besides meritorious students, all girls enrolled in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas were also included as beneficiaries. The campaign will continue to encourage and support high-performing students in the future,” Nagpal said.
