Shimla: Leader of the opposition in the Himachal Pradesh assembly, Jai Ram Thakur, on Saturday accused the Congress govt of allowing “anarchy”, alleging that the party functionaries and ministers attacked the election department office, misbehaved with staff, damaged govt property and burnt an effigy of PM Narendra Modi.Calling the incident a “black chapter” for Himachal, Thakur demanded strict action against those responsible.The former CM alleged that while FIRs were registered against BJP functionaries, Congress workers were being given a free hand to violate the law. He also accused the Congress of creating disorder to “relaunch” Rahul Gandhi.Targeting the health sector, Thakur questioned the procurement of MRI machines without adequate doctors. He claimed Ner Chowk medical college’s radiology department in Mandi had no regular consultant and alleged a doctor was appointed ahead of the CM’s visit.He also questioned why an MRI machine installed in February was inaugurated seven months later.
