Six men were arrested with swords in two separate police actions in Madurai in the past two days.
Chennai: Three young women were arrested after a video went viral showing them vandalising traffic barricades on 100-Feet Road in Thirumangalam. The video showed them riding a bike without helmets, too. A person travelling behind them had recorded the incident and uploaded the video online.Personnel from Anna Nagar Traffic Investigation Wing traced the scooter using its registration number and identified the three women as residents of Chetpet, Shenoy Nagar and Kolathur.Traffic police arrested the trio and registered a case for traffic violations and other offences in connection with the incident. They were subsequently released on station bail after being warned against repeating such violations.
