JAIPUR: A fire broke out at a private hospital in Jaipur district late Friday night, triggering panic among patients and their attendants. No casualties were reported in the incident.The fire broke out in an operation theatre on the ground floor of the hospital located along the Jaipur-Delhi highway in the Chandwaji area, police said.Smoke soon spread to the operation theatre and the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), prompting hospital authorities to evacuate patients from the wards.Police personnel and hospital staff shifted patients to safer areas, while several attendants also carried their family members out of the building amid the panic.A short circuit is suspected to have triggered the fire, police said, adding that the exact cause is being ascertained. No casualties were reported in the incident.
