Currently, 38.2 lakh quintals of seeds are available in the state, the minister stated. For cotton cultivation, with a target of around 52 lakh acres, 212.1 lakh packets are available instead of the required 104 lakh packets, officials explained. He noted that higher stock compared to last year’s usage would instil confidence in farmers.
