Chandigarh: A political row erupted in Punjab on Friday as AAP’s AAP’s Punjab observer and head of its Rajasthan women’s wing Gayatri Bishnoi threatened legal action against Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira over social media posts alleging unauthorised occupation of govt housing and his remarks regarding her and AAP’s Punjab in charge Manish Sisodia, calling them baseless, vulgar and an attack on her character.Khaira posted on X that Bishnoi was allegedly residing in an official govt house in Chandigarh’s Sector 39, which was officially allotted to cabinet minister Dr Ravjot Singh but which he claimed was “occupied by Sisodia”.“Since Gayatri Bishnoi has stated today that she and her father a heart patient are staying in the official residence of health minister Balbir Singh in Sector 39 Chandigarh, I urge Dr Balbir Singh to clarify how many such heart patients are staying with his family for treatment? Dr Balbir is an eye specialist so how does he treat a heart patient? Are all AAP ministers allowing patients to stay in their official homes?” Khaira wrote. In subsequent posts, he criticised her response to his statements.“Why did you get so rattled, Madam, by just a brief mention of you and Sisodia today…?”Hitting back through a video statement, Bishnoi accused Khaira of personal attacks. “You have stopped so low to make shameless allegations. I am staying with my parents in the house of health minister Balbir Singh because my father is undergoing treatment. I will take you to court for making baseless charges.”“Sukhpal Khaira! You‘re such a vile man, aren’t you, that you won’t even spare a girl the age of your own daughters. What a despicable person you are! Shame on you. You’ve slandered my character, haven’t you. First, just see where I live. And keep watching. I’m going to send you to jail and only then will I catch my breath,” she said.
