Varanasi: Two youths were killed after two motorcycles collided head-on on a bypass service road near Akhri village under Rohaniya Akhri police outpost in Varanasi on Thursday.On receiving information, police reached the spot and with the help of locals, admitted both the injured to trauma center, where they succumbed to injuries during treatment.The deceased were identified as Alok Srivastava (27), a resident of Khurmawad in Rohtas district of Bihar and Rahul alias Kaju Patel (25), a resident of Akhri. Alok was traveling from Akhri bypass toward Dafi, while Rahul was returning home after admitting his wife Kiran Devi to a hospital for delivery. Near the service lane, the motorcycles collided head-on due to overspeeding. The collision was so severe that the front portions of both the bikes were severely damaged.Police later sent the bodies for postmortem.
