BENGALURU: Bangarapet MLA S Narayanaswamy and KGF MLA Roopakala Shashidhar were locked in a bitter verbal exchange amid the chaos surrounding the resignation of Indi MLA Yashvanthraygoud V Patil in the Karnataka Assembly on Wednesday.Narayanaswamy was seated beside MLA Subbareddy (Bagepalli) and was seen chatting and laughing when Roopakala, apparently angered by the scene, suddenly rose from her seat behind them and confronted the two.Visibly furious, Roopakala reportedly pointed at them and reprimanded them loudly before slamming the table and questioning whether they were mocking or condemning her.Even as the confrontation continued, Opposition Leader R Ashoka intervened, cautioning amid the commotion: “Why are you banging the table? I think another fight will break out here.”As the situation threatened to escalate, fellow legislators stepped in and escorted Roopakala out of the Assembly hall. She was later seen leaving the House in tears, adding another dramatic episode to an already turbulent day in the Karnataka Assembly.
