Chennai: Madras high court on Thursday dismissed a plea seeking re-polling in six villages of Pudukkottai district. None of the villages participated in the election in view of a boycott announced by them demanding annexure of the villages with Tirumayam Assembly constituency. The first bench of Chief Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari and Justice G Arul Murugan observed that no one had prevented the residents of these villages from voting during the election and dismissed the plea as not maintainable.
