Pune: Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) has set a target to recover Rs682 crore in outstanding dues by Sept 30.Dinesh Agrawal, executive director (commercial), MSEDCL, who is in charge of overseeing the Pune and Baramati circles, has instructed officials to step up the recovery process. MSEDCL’s Pune zone had set a target to recover Rs1,254 crore by Sept, but has recovered Rs571 crore so far, leaving a balance of Rs682 crore in the target pending dues.“We are formulating a concrete action plan to reduce electricity leakage alongside achieving 100% revenue recovery,” Agarwal said. He also urged officials to give up any lax attitude and work efficiently.Agarwal directed officials to intensify the campaign against electricity theft. He said tangible results must be visible across city areas, which include customer service, power supply quality, revenue recovery and the reduction of electricity leakage. “Mere planning is not enough, and effective implementation is essential to achieve the expected outcomes,” he said.
