Mapusa: Anjuna police have registered two cases against Gaurish Shirodkar, owner/director of Beatrix Holiday Pvt Ltd and Go Life Vacation Pvt Ltd, and his staff for allegedly duping tourists through fraudulent holiday package presentations.Police said Nilesh Patil filed the first case. Patil said that in May 2026, the accused and their representatives approached him through a lucky draw promotional activity and lured him to a presentation at a hotel in Anjuna.Under the guise of an international holiday package, the company induced him to transfer Rs 1.1 lakh via credit card on an EMI option. Patil later discovered that others had been similarly cheated and found the accused unresponsive to his calls.The second case involves a complaint by Bengaluru resident Raghav Choudhary. Choudhary reported that on Dec 27, 2025, Shirodkar’s firm targeted him and his wife in Arpora, pitching a holiday package covering extensive domestic and international locations. The couple was allegedly induced to transfer a total of Rs 1 lakh using their Bank of Baroda and HSBC credit cards.Police registered both cases under sections 318(4) (cheating) read with 3(5) of the BNS. PSI Swapnil Naik is investigating the operations of these Nagoa-Arpora-based firms.
