Lucknow: Students and youth demanded better education, employment opportunities and democratic rights at the ‘Lucknow with GenZ’ programme organised by the All India Students’ Association (AISA) on Wednesday.AISA national president Neha Bora said student protests were erupting across the country over issues ranging from paper leaks and unemployment to rising education costs and lack of accountability.“Thousands of Jantar Mantars are smouldering across the country,” she said, pointing to multiple centres of agitation. The event was held under AISA’s nationwide ‘GenZ Rising’ campaign and the ongoing GEN-Z Mahajutan Yatra, which seeks to unite student and youth struggles across Uttar Pradesh on a common platform.AISA Uttar Pradesh president Manish Kumar said paper leaks, recruitment delays, unemployment and the crisis in public education had repeatedly pushed young people in the state to the streets.Organisers said the programme aimed to amplify these concerns.
