Varanasi: Two women were killed after being hit by an unidentified vehicle while on a morning walk in Ismailpur Kotisha village under the Saidpur Kotwali area of Ghazipur district early Sunday.The deceased were identified as Khushboo Kashyap (35) and her sister-in-law Kirti Kashyap (40), both residents of Ismailpur Kotisha village.Ghazipur CO (Saidpur) Shubham Verma said the women had left home at around 4am for their daily walk when a speeding vehicle rammed them and fled the scene. He added that CCTV footage from nearby areas was being examined to trace the vehicle.According to locals, the women sustained critical injuries and were rushed to the Saidpur Community Health Centre, where doctors declared them dead.Police reached the hospital after receiving information, took the bodies into custody and sent them for postmortem examination.
