Rajkot: Unidentified persons cut steel wire fencing around a military installation in Jamnagar, causing damage worth an estimated Rs 15,000, according to an FIR registered with City A Division police station.The damage was discovered on the morning of Thursday morning, during a patrol by an Army quick reaction team (QRT). The complaint was lodged by Naib Subedar Murugan Ramasamy (45).According to the complaint, Murugan was conducting a security patrol in the military area between 8am and 11am with team members. Around 9am, the team reached the 27 Madras area inside Sindh Gate. They discovered that the steel wire mesh fencing flanking Pillar 131 had been cut open, extending approximately five metres to either side of the pillar.The patrol promptly reported the breach to their officer-in-charge. Following directions and under an authorization letter issued, Ramasamy approached City A Division police station to file a complaint.Police registered the case in the early hours of Saturday, under Section 324(3) of the BNS.
