Chandigarh: Four to five unidentified miscreants travelling on three two-wheelers allegedly robbed a property dealer of his Honda City at gunpoint in Rajiv Vihar, Manimajra, late Wednesday night. Three of the accused have been arrested.The victim told the police that the accused initially demanded Rs 10,000 from him, claiming they needed the money to buy drugs. When he said he did not have cash and offered to make the payment through Google Pay, the accused allegedly refused and snatched his car.The victim, Pulkit Sharma, was sitting in his car outside the gate of his apartment complex, waiting for an online food order, when the accused surrounded him.Manimajra police registered a case and arrested three individuals: Krish, 19, of Rajiv Colony, Sector 17, Panchkula; Sonu, 21, of Raila village in Panchkula; and Sanju alias Kancha, 24, a resident of Sector 16, Chandigarh. The snatched Honda City has been recovered from their possession.Speaking to TOI, Sanjay Sharma, Pulkit’s father, said the incident took place around midnight after Pulkit returned home from Sector 20, Chandigarh.He said two of the accused allegedly positioned their motorcycles in front of the car, while the others approached the driver’s side. One of them allegedly pointed a pistol at Pulkit, threatened him and demanded money.During the episode, the suspects allegedly took the car keys and removed his wristwatch. They also snatched his mobile phone but later returned it.The accused then allegedly pulled Pulkit out of the car at gunpoint and fled with the Honda City. Three of them allegedly drove away in the car, while the others escaped on motorcycles, his father said.Police circulated the registration number of the stolen car among teams at various locations. During the investigation, police learnt that the car had stopped at a petrol pump for fuel and was later spotted moving towards Ambala.
