GURGAON: Rohtak Lok Sabha MP Deepender Singh Hooda on Thursday chaired a meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) at the Mini Secretariat in Jhajjar, reviewing the progress of various development and welfare schemes sponsored by the Centre.The meeting witnessed a detailed, department-wise review of projects being implemented under several flagship Central government schemes.Hooda sought information from officials regarding sanctioned works, completed projects and those currently under construction, and issued directions for their timely completion.During the meeting, the MP reviewed the implementation of schemes including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, PM Krishi Sinchai Yojana, Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural and Urban), National Health Mission, education-related schemes, Mid-Day Meal, PM Gram Jyoti Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission and Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.The progress of projects related to railways, national highways, roads, irrigation, drinking water and other basic infrastructure was also reviewed.Hooda directed officials to regularly monitor development projects and ensure that all works are completed within the stipulated timeframe.He also stressed the need to maintain quality standards and transparency in the implementation of schemes, particularly those directly linked to public welfare.Officials from various departments presented updates on ongoing programmes, activities and their respective future action plans.The meeting was attended by Beri MLA Raghubir Singh Kadian, Jhajjar MLA Geeta Bhukkal, Badli MLA Kuldeep Vats and Bahadurgarh MLA Rajesh Joon.Deputy Commissioner Varsha Khangwal welcomed MP Deepender Singh Hooda on his arrival at the meeting.
