Bengaluru: A journey on non-A/C train compartment is often incomplete without the presence of vendors selling food, beverages and several other products. On Tuesday, one such vendor on 12640 Brindavan Express bound to Bengaluru from Chennai was found selling tobacco products to passengers.Abdul Hannan Ansari, 18, a native of Madhubani district in Bihar, was arrested by a Railway Protection Force team on the train. The teenager was found carrying a backpack containing inflammable articles, including 48 gas-filled lighters, 37 Gold Flake cigarette packs of six varieties; 22 packs of Wave, Flake Premium, Wills and Players brands, 146 pan masala packets.RPF registered a case under Sections 147, 144(1) and 164 of Railways Act, 1989, for unauthorized hawking and carrying hazardous materials on trains.
