Kolkata: Two days after some students of Calcutta National Medical College (CNMC) lodged a complaint against the manner of frisking of female students, before getting into the examination hall, the frisking was done in the presence of college officials on Monday.Examination for the first year professional MBBS examination across medical colleges in the state began on Sept 3. Students are frisked before entering exam halls to prevent them from using unfair means.On Saturday some students at CNMCH alleged breach of privacy while frisking some women examinees. They alleged that female students were subjected to checking of their sanitary napkins. They said that while the frisking was done by female bouncers the intrusion in private hygiene product has caused stress, embarrassment and humiliation.“We are not against frisking but against the manner of some female students were frisked which breached privacy,” said final MBBS student Pulastyo Chattopadhyay, of the ABVP Medical student cell.
