MP releases Rs 29 lakh for civic works in Pinjore-Kalka

Panchkula: Ambala MP Varun Chaudhary has allocated around Rs 29 lakh from his Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) funds for three public utility projects in the Pinjore-Kalka area.According to former Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee secretary Vijay Bansal, Rs 10 lakh has been sanctioned for construction of a shed and toilet block at the cremation ground in Pinjore, while Rs 4 lakh has been earmarked for a shed at the cemetery in Manakpur Devlal village.Another Rs 15 lakh has been allocated for construction of a Scheduled Caste chaupal for the Jatav community in Ward 31 of Kalka.Bansal said the projects are aimed at improving basic public amenities in the area. He added that Chaudhary has also raised issues related to the Pinjore-Kalka belt in Parliament, including the closure of the HMT tractor factory in Pinjore and the proposed Chandigarh-Yamunanagar railway line.The sanctioned works are expected to strengthen community infrastructure and public facilities in the region.
