Noida: Traffic police have announced extensive diversions around ISKCON and Sanatan Dharma temples, which are expected to draw huge crowds for Janmashtami celebrations on Friday.According to the advisory, movement of all vehicles between NTPC underpass and Gijhor intersections, and from Gijhor towards NTPC, will be restricted. Vehicles travelling from Gijhor towards Atta underpass will have to take a left turn at Gijhor, proceed to Hoshiarpur and turn right towards City Centre, or turn right from Gijhor Chowk and travel via Samarville.Devotees headed to ISKCON temple in Sector 33 have to park at the designated facility near Adobe building and walk to the temple. Vehicles for the VVIP parking area can enter through sectors 33-34 T-point and park at Shilp Haat before proceeding on foot.Commuters travelling from sectors 25-31 intersection towards sectors 60, 62, Indirapuram and Ghaziabad via Gijhor will need to turn left at the sector 25-31 T-point, then a right from Spice Mall and proceed via Adobe intersection, sector 22 and 23-54 T-point to reach Gijhor.Traffic on the elevated road will operate normally, but vehicles will not be allowed to enter or exit through the ISKCON/NTPC loops. Gijhor-ISKCON temple route and sectors 25-31 to Gijhor stretch will also remain closed to vehicles until the celebrations conclude.Officials said restrictions may also be imposed around Sanatan Dharma temple in Sector 19 if the crowd surges, with possible curbs between sectors 19-27 DM Chowk and Rai Residency, and from DM Chowk towards Telephone Exchange road. In Sector 2, movement between Sandeep Paper Mill Chowk and Golchakkar Chowk may also be restricted.Emergency vehicles, including ambulances and fire service vehicles, will be allowed through.
