Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad division of Western Railway earned Rs 804.6 crore in total revenue in Aug 2026, registering an increase of Rs 26.38 crore or 3.4%, compared with Rs 778.20 crore in August 2025.Freight remained the biggest contributor, with the division loading 4.5 million tonnes of goods and generating Rs 631.3 crore, up 6.13% year-on-year. Parcel services contributed Rs 7.17 crore, exceeding the monthly target by 9% and rising 14% over last year. Ticket-checking activities generated another Rs 2.5 crore, 21% higher than Aug 2025.Several freight terminals also recorded their best-ever monthly earnings. The terminal at Bhimasar generated Rs 9.9 crore, Deendayal Port Trust Terminal Rs 6.3 crore and Wadhwa terminal generated Rs 18.5 crore.
