Shimla: Himachal Pradesh police will organise the 5th Anti-Chitta and Environment Awareness Walkathon in Una on Sept 7, with chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu leading the campaign. The event aims to unite police personnel, students, youth and citizens against drug abuse while promoting environmental responsibility.Previous walkathons were held in Shimla, Dharamshala, Hamirpur and Bilaspur. This year’s walkathon will focus on strengthening public participation in the fight against the menace of Chitta and encouraging young people to make healthy and responsible choices.The campaign carries the message, “Choose Life, Not Chitta” and “Choose Nature, Not Neglect.” The police have appealed to residents of Una and adjoining areas to participate in large numbers. The programme will feature performances by the police orchestra and musician Shashwat Sachdev.
