Bengaluru: In a bid to strengthen policing, home minister Priyank Kharge Monday held an interaction with over 600 police personnel, inviting them to share their concerns, suggestions and challenges faced in day-to-day duties.The interaction was held at Ambedkar Bhavan, bringing together police officers and personnel from selected commissionerates and district police units. The initiative focused on understanding concerns of the force and identifying measures to improve police functioning and service delivery.Police personnel raised issues concerning welfare, working conditions, operational challenges, public service delivery and improving the department. Participants offered suggestions to create a better professional working environment and strengthening policing standards.Kharge said issues and constructive suggestions raised during the interaction will be examined. The interaction was attended by additional chief secretary to home department Rajendra Kumar Kataria, DG& IGP MA Saleem, Bengaluru police commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh, ADGP (L&O) R Hitendra, ADGP-admin Soumendu Mukherjee, IGP (police computer wing) Labhu Ram and other senior police officers.
