Gurgaon: Three people were arrested after they allegedly rammed a car twice and fired shots in the air during a road chase in Sohna earlier this week. The incident was a fallout of an old rivalry between two men.Those arrested on Saturday include Naveen, a resident of Nathupur; Ankush, a resident of Ashok Vihar Phase 3; and Rohit Lohia alias Shanky, a resident of Sikanderpur Ghosi.The crime branch team of Sohna recovered the SUV allegedly used in the crime, police said on Sunday.The confrontation had begun following an argument and the chase was for around 3-4 kilometres. During interrogation, police found that the accused had targeted the complainant.According to police, the complainant had gone to a function in Dauhla village with some friends.“While they were returning home around midnight on Aug 25, a group of men stopped their vehicle and rammed it. The accused fired shots in the air, following which the complainant and his friends fled the spot,” a police officer said, adding that the accused followed them and rammed their car again near Subhash Chowk.The complainant approached Sadar Sohna police station on Aug 26, following which a case was registered under relevant sections.The police officer said, “The complainant and Naveen had an old personal rivalry following a previous fight at a party in Sohna. All are residents of the same village and know each other. The attack appears to have been carried out because of this enmity. We are questioning the accused to establish the complete sequence of events and the role of each person.”Police said Naveen is already involved in four cases registered in Gurgaon. These include cases related to murder and assault, among other offences.
