Hisar: The Hisar municipal corporation on Saturday intensified door-to-door garbage collection under police protection to restore essential sanitation services amid an ongoing standoff over municipal waste management.Carried out on the directions of municipal commissioner C Jayashraddha, the early-morning drive covered Sector 14, Sector 14P, Sector 33, and the Housing Board Colony on Sirsa Road. Police personnel, civic officials, Councillor Mohit Singhal, and a designated duty magistrate supervised the operation.As part of the drive, the corporation deployed door-to-door collection vehicles at the Mela Ground in Sector 21P with police support.Eight vehicles completed three trips each, collecting waste equivalent to 24 vehicle-loads and transporting it directly to the designated dumping site to prevent further accumulation.Civic officials and employees remained present at the collection sites throughout the morning to monitor logistics and ensure uninterrupted clearance.
