Four policemen were deployed from the police lines for Pasi’s security,” he said.Raja added that as Pasi managed to escape despite being in police custody, the role of all policemen deployed for his security is being investigated before departmental and legal action is initiated against them. Police teams have been engaged to nab Pasi at the earliest, he added.Aged around 30, Pasi was caught following an exchange of fire with Gahmar police on Aug 1. Officials said that early Saturday morning, he asked the policemen guarding him to take him to the washroom. Under the supervision of the police guards, hospital staff took him to the washroom in a wheelchair. However, when he did not come out even after 15 minutes, the policemen found the washroom door locked from inside. When two policemen and hospital staff broke into the toilet, they found the wheelchair lying under a window, which Pasi had damaged to escape.
