Jaipur: Two Kanwariyas were killed and four others injured in two separate road accidents in Lakhapur police station area of Bharatpur district Monday. In both the incidents, motorcycles carrying Kanwariyas were hit from behind by heavy vehicles.According to Lakhapur SHO Vijay Singh, the first accident occurred around 1.30 am near Dehra village on National Highway-21. “Three Kanwariyas on a motorcycle were hit from behind by a container. The injured—Roop Singh Saini, Chet Ram and Hansraj, all residents of Uddaini village in Karauli district—were rushed to RBM Hospital. They were referred to Jaipur for further treatment. However, Hansraj died while being taken to Jaipur near Halaena. His body was shifted to Halaena hospital and later sent for postmortem. His family was informed about the incident,” Singh added.The second accident took place around 4.30 am between Lulhara and Bansi villages on NH-21. “Three Kanwariyas travelling on a motorcycle were hit from behind by a sleeper-coach bus. In this, Heera Singh, Ramveer and Gaurav, residents of Tighariya in Karauli district, sustained serious injuries. Among these, Ramveer succumbed at the hospital. The other two injured Kanwariyas are undergoing treatment. The postmortem of Ramveer’s body will be conducted at the RBM Hospital mortuary,” he added.Separate cases have been registered against the drivers of the vehicles.
