Hyderabad: Payments to govt and private network hospitals under the Aarogyasri scheme have continued without interruption, said the Rajiv Aarogyasri Healthcare Trust (RAHCT) chief executive officer Jendage Hanumanth Kondiba on Sunday.According to the officials, the RAHCT has paid hospital claims worth ₹2,840 crore between Dec 8, 2023 and Aug 23, 2026. This works out to an average monthly payment of about ₹88 crore to hospitals empanelled under the scheme.The CEO highlighted that the current monthly average was substantially higher than the period before Dec 2023, when claim payments averaged around ₹54 crore a month. He rejected allegations that staff members of the Aarogyasri Trust had gone without salaries for 18 months, stating that employee salaries had been paid up to July 2026 and that no salary dues were pending.“Cashless healthcare services for eligible beneficiaries are also continuing across the State,” said Kondiba.“Annual treatment coverage under Aarogyasri scheme was enhaced from ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh per family in Dec 2023. In 2024, package rates for 1,375 procedures were revised, with prices raised by nearly 22%. A further 163 treatments were added to the scheme, taking the total number of covered procedures to 1,835,” he added.
