The Government Spine Institute (GSI) organized a two-day shoulder surgery workshop for surgeons. Resident doctors from across the state participated in the event. Dr Piyush Mittal, director of the institute, said that the surgeons worked on fresh tissue cadaveric specimens, to simulate conditions in an operation theatre. It would also be helpful in sports-related injury treatment, he added.
