Gurgaon: A 25-year-old man died after a truck allegedly hit his motorcycle near Hero Honda Chowk underpass.The incident took place around 6.30am on Saturday when Shivam, a resident of UP’s Etawah, was travelling from Narsinghpur to Yashobhumi for work. The driver fled the spot after abandoning the vehicle, police said.Based on a complaint, filed by his cousin Ayush, medical documents, a case was registered under sections 281 (rash driving) and 106 (death by negligence) of BNS against the unidentified truck driver at Sadar police station.According to the complaint, Shivam was riding his motorcycle (UP 75 AZ 1257) when the truck (HR 55 BC 0165) hit him. Ayush received information around 6.50am and reached the spot, where he found Shivam injured on the roadside and the truck standing nearby.Ayush arranged an ambulance and took Shivam to Civil Hospital, where doctors referred him to Safdarjung Hospital. “He was taken to a private hospital, Kalyani Hospital. After receiving treatment there, doctors again referred him to Safdarjung Hospital. However, Shivam died while he was being taken to Delhi,” the complaint added.His body was brought back to Kalyani Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. His father and other family members reached the hospital.Police said they received information through an emergency response vehicle. A team reached the spot and found the damaged motorcycle and the truck abandoned there. “The two vehicles were taken into police custody,” an officer said. An officer reached the hospital and collected his medico-legal report, death summary and treatment records.
