Lucknow: The city’s Metro network turned into a moving frame of urban life on World Photography Day as photography enthusiasts participated in a special photo walk inside trains and across stations, capturing the rush of commuters, the movement of trains, shafts of light, station architecture and fleeting interactions between passengers on Wednesday.The photo walk was curated by Bhupendra Kumar Asthana and organised as part of a two-day photography exhibition at Hazratganj Metro Station.The exhibition was inaugurated by veteran photographer Anil Risal Singh and Panchanan Mishra, joint general manager (public relations), UP Metro.Twenty photographs by noted photographers were displayed at the station.Speaking on the occasion, Singh said, “Photography is important because it preserves moments, emotions and stories that would otherwise disappear with time.”Selected photographs from the photo walk will be displayed at a special exhibition on Lucknow Metro’s Foundation Day.
