Kullu: The office of the Himachal Pradesh DGP on Tuesday said that BJP MLA Sudhir Sharma, who joined the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SV&ACB) investigation into a disproportionate assets case, has failed to furnish key financial and property records sought by the Bureau.DGP office flags missing records, ‘evasive’ answers by BJP MLAKullu: The office of the Himachal Pradesh DGP on Tuesday said BJP MLA Sudhir Sharma, who joined the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SV&ACB) investigation into a disproportionate assets case, failed to furnish key financial and property records sought by the Bureau.According to the DGP office, Sharma appeared before the SV&ACB in Dharamshala at around 11:30am in compliance with a notice. He was questioned for over two hours.The Bureau had sought records related to share transactions, property deals, bank trails, vehicles, loans and investments, as well as detailed documents concerning Sharma’s multi-storeyed house in Rakkar, including contractor details, bills, vouchers and payment records.The DGP office said Sharma sought more time to submit the documents. It added that complete documentary records relating to construction expenditure on the Rakkar house were not submitted.Sharma’s answers on several material financial issues were described as “evasive”, lacking specific details that could be immediately verified. The MLA has been asked to provide documentary evidence so that his explanations can be verified against independent banking, taxation, property and other records.
