Bengaluru: US startup accelerator Y Combinator has sold another 1.19% stake in Groww parent Billionbrains Garage Ventures for Rs 1,435 crore, continuing to monetise its holding in the listed investment platform.YC Holdings II LLC sold 7.47 crore shares at an average price of Rs 192.16 apiece on Tuesday, according to Bombay Stock Exchange bulk-deal data. The sale was executed at a 3.3% discount to Groww’s previous closing price of Rs 198.70.Groww’s shares ended Tuesday 2.5% lower at Rs 193.70 on the BSE.The transaction reduces YC Holdings II’s stake from 8.63% at the end of June to about 7.44%. Following the sale, the investment vehicle is estimated to hold around 46.67 crore shares, though Y Combinator may own additional shares through other affiliated entities.This is YC Holdings II’s second major stake sale since May, when it sold 9.11 crore shares, representing a 1.45% stake, for about Rs 1,642 crore. Together, the two post-listing transactions have yielded about Rs 3,077 crore.YC Holdings II had also sold 10.55 crore shares in Groww’s initial public offering in Nov 2025. That sale, at the IPO price of Rs 100 a share, fetched about Rs 1,055 crore. Including the IPO, the investment vehicle has monetised Groww shares worth roughly Rs 4,132 crore.Groww’s shares continue to trade at nearly twice their IPO price. The Bengaluru-based company, India’s largest stockbroker by active clients, had a market capitalisation of about Rs 1.22 lakh crore at Tuesday’s close.
