Hyderabad: US-based deeptech and enterprise technology player Cloudangles has opened its global engineering centre (GEC) in Hyderabad, as part of its engineering footprint expansion.The facility, which the company plans to grow to 1,000 engineers over the next two years, will support digital and technology services, application development and engineering, data and analytics, artificial intelligence and automation.Cloudangles said the centre will build on its GCC-as-a-Service and value centre models, aimed at helping enterprises move beyond conventional technology delivery into dedicated engineering, innovation and technology capability-building.Its co-build model combines Cloudangles’ engineering and deep-tech expertise with clients’ domain knowledge and strategic priorities.Telangana IT and industries minister D Sridhar Babu said Hyderabad had become a preferred destination for global capability centres (GCCs) and that the state was focused on deepening the talent base that attracts global businesses.“We see talent as infrastructure, and investments like Cloudangles’ GEC help strengthen that infrastructure by creating high-value engineering jobs, developing specialised skills and giving our talent the opportunity to work on complex global technology challenges,” Sridhar Babu said.Cloudangles CEO N Revathipathi said the Hyderabad centre marks an important milestone as the company strengthens its global engineering capabilities. He said the company’s build-operate-transfer (BOT) approach will also help enterprises establish dedicated technology centres, scale teams and gradually assume greater ownership of technology organisations and intellectual capital.
