Varanasi: A man died after he was hit by a motorcycle while returning from Markandey Mahadev Temple in Chaubepur police station area on Monday.Sandeep Gupta, a resident of Parsaura village under Devgaon police station in Azamgarh district, was walking back from the temple after offering prayers when a motorcycle hit him leaving him critically injured, said police.On being informed, Chaubepur police team arrived at the scene. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died during treatment.Police informed the victim’s family about the incident. The body was taken into custody for further legal formalities.Sandeep’s family has submitted a written complaint at Chaubepur police station. Further legal action has been initiated on the basis of the complaint. Police are also collecting details about the motorcycle and its rider involved in the accident
