Hyderabad: Telangana Rakshana Sena’s Wyra constituency in charge Gouravarapu Jagadeeswar, alias David Raj, was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act for allegedly attempting to sexually assault a 11-year-old girl in Wyra on Saturday.According to Wyra police, the accused allegedly entered the girl’s house on the pretext of teaching her maths. The girl was reportedly alone at home as her parents were away.Police said the accused allegedly attempted to sexually assault the Class VI student. The girl later informed her parents, following which her mother approached the police and lodged a complaint.Based on the complaint, Wyra police registered a case under relevant provisions of the Pocso Act against Jagadeeswar alias David Raj on Saturday night. Police subsequently took him into custody and produced him before a court in Madhira, which remanded him.An investigation is underway.
