Hyderabad: Adilabad police on Saturday arrested four persons allegedly involved in facilitating opening of mule accounts. Police are now on the lookout for their handlers in Maharashtra. In the crackdown on accounts linked to cybercrime cases, police traced 74 bank accounts. “After questioning the individuals in whose names the accounts were opened, police found that four accused, Rajavardhan, P Akshay, Rajender and Sheikh Sameer, played a key role,” Adilabad SP Akhil Mahajan said.The accused allegedly approached local villagers and offered commissions ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 to open bank accounts. Police are searching for two more suspects to further investigate the case. Police said the 74 accounts were misused to park 7 crore of cybercrime victims’ money.tnn
